1. for record, as usual, 15 acceptances in may, and 10 in june by online or print magazines, including causway, thema, pilgrimage mag, skinny poetry journal (after many attempts), and (uk-based) riptide.
2. chinese book publication project for the create abundance group (创造丰盛集团，now known as 'golden touch') still stranded， but strongly hope it will eventually go through, knock on wood (a phrase learned yesterday from a friendly chat).
3. thus far i have written (in chinese) 330 mini essays under the serial title chinese concerns (‘忧中华‘）, articulating my insights into my 'nation', and my culture; as a routine, i have been posting one every week for the past few years under a pen name, with a constant chinese readership, usually at least 300 to 500 pageviews for each posting. this literary effort represents my indepth and painful self-examination as a chinese. most of the essays contain fewer than 200 chinese characters, but they examine/expose every (mainly negative) aspect of the chinese culture, as well as of the chinese personality. i hope i can find a chinese publisher to put it out in a book form eventually; otherwise, i might self-publish it. last week, i collected them into a single file; yesterday, a friend suggested me translating into english, but i was afraid those hostile to the chinese (like the american government and cia?) could use some of my insights against my own people. anyway, i probably have another hundred to write about, still a going-on writing project...
4. yes, before i die, i wish to publish one full length collection of my best poems ever written in english, and one book about the chinese culture and personality. even though i have few contemporary readers, i believe there will be a lot more readers in the future, since these two books stand for my very best contribution to my nation, and my species. if i cannot find a proper book publisher, i will self-publish them, just making them available to potential readers, as the friend suggested.
