changming: lit endeavours-1 Sept 2019

/ got 13 acceptances in july, and 13 in august, from in-print or online literary outlets, including chiron review, ihraf publishes, notes & queries, pomezia-notizie and botsotso. as of today, i have had poems accepted or published by 1,588 lit publications across 43 countries.

/ almost completed preparing the autumn issue of Poetry Pacific (8.2) for release on 11 nov. this is perhaps the very strongest issue we have ever had since our start about seven years ago. i need to get the issue essentially ready before leaving canada early next month for a quite lengthy sojourn in my native place in china, where googling is still impossible. since this is our last autumn issue, we plan to release it on 11 november, instead of 5, just commemorate our 7th anniversary.

/ decided that beginning from 2020, we will change Poetry Pacific from a biannual to a annual publication, to be released on 5 may every year. statistics show that most small presses stop operation within 7 years after its initial publication, while many others constantly put their outlets on hiatus. for the sake of continuation of our e.zine, we find this change/arrangement is a good choice for all of us concerned.

/ knowing that i will somehow habitually be unable to write anything once back in china, i have been writing quite a lot of poetry in recent months, though few to my own satisfaction. the main reason is that i can find little 'good' poetry to read either in english or in chinese. most of my 'best' poems have resulted from my reading experience.
